Responsible for obtaining Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license by completing paid classroom and hands-on training. You will earn a base salary while completing your state required, pre-licensing courses - we cover the cost for all study materials, state licensing exam, and resident and non-resident licenses.

Within 45 days, incumbents must pass testing to obtain a Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license and successfully obtain all non-resident licenses. Once licensed, incumbents will be responsible for selling and servicing Sentry products to meet growth, retention, profit and sales objectives within our Motorcycle and Non-Standard Auto business units.

What You'll Do

  • Learns appropriate methods and processes in order to counsel, educate and promote Dairyland Insurance Products and services to customers.

  • Works to develop a comprehensive understanding of specific company products in order to portray confidence and credibility to customers/prospects.

  • Answers routine inbound prospect inquiries on coverage limits, deductibles, etc.

  • With guidance, provides quotes and may bind coverage for customers in a timely fashion.

  • Matches coverage needs of customer/prospect to available products and /or services.

  • Reports on all lead & sales activities.

  • Learns to sell new business generated from in-bound quote calls.

  • Performs other job-related duties requiring the same general knowledge, skills and degree of responsibility commensurate with assigned level.

What it Takes

  • Associate degree, or 0-2 years' experience

  • At least one year of inbound call center or phone sales experience preferred

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required state licensing and carrier appointments.

  • Effective phone communication, analytical, decision-making and human relation skills to deal effectively with prospects and customer issues in a professional manner.

  • Effective multi-tasking and time management skills.

  • Previous sales experience preferred.

  • Proficiency of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel), internet, and other related computer applications.

  • Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.

  • Availability to work a non-standard schedule including evening and weekend hours.
